12 Day Liquid Fast
Last night my boyfriend and I watched Fat Sick and Nearly Dead, he actually put me on to it.
After watching it we’ve both decided to give the diet a try, and since we’ll be heading to Miami in just a week and a half, it’s the perfect span of time to give it a try. Our only problem is that neither of us have a juicer. I was looking on Amazon earlier and found a few that were really affordable, versus the usual $200 you’d expect. I found one for as low as $29 and another for $56. Until I can get my hands on a juicer, I’ll just be using a blender. I figure, there’s not a HUGE difference, and since it’s just a trial run it shouldn’t be a big deal. While doing a little research I found a video explaining the difference between using a blender vs. a juicer.
So the only difference is what they are good at juicing. A juicer is better with lemons, celery stalks and cucumbers whereas the blender is better with leafy things such as kale. I’m sure you can blend a lemon, cucumber and celery in the blender though, it would just take more time.
So for the next 12 days (I leave for Miami on Jan 10) I’ll be only drinking the Mean Green Juice recepie and it’s variants. But primarily the original version:
- 6 Kale Leaves
- 1 Cucumber
- 4 Celery Stalks
- 2 Green Apples
- 1/2 Lemon
- 1 piece of ginger

Arms - 12 (ugh loose skin -_-)
We shall see the results in 12 days :)
